The
new books include 2 elementary books and 1 preschool book illustrated by
award-winning artists.
The
three new titles reflect Lectura Books' unique approach to publishing. The
books are culturally relevant for Hispanic families and tell stories often
untold. One elementary book reflects the childhood experiences of 10 accomplished
Latino artists. The other title for elementary students is an oral story by an
84-year-old who grew up in New Mexico. The preschool book uses eye-catching
graphics to engage Spanish-speaking parents and their children to build
vocabulary in Spanish and English. The books are bilingual, which makes it
possible for Spanish-speaking parents and their English-learning children to
read and learn together.
