Vuela, Vuela Pajarita, Mariposa, Abeja: September Gallery

Michael Sedano

Summer spins and twists itself to a blazing finish, in drought-stricken Southern California. Noontime grows too darn hot to do anything but curl up with a confection like a mystery novel and let the minutes tick off until the air grows even hotter. If you've chosen well, the book will keep you absorbed.

Early morning walks in the Huntington Library gardens find the air clear and filled with flying creatures. A nature photographer's paradise. Colibrí, mariposas, bees, wasps, catholics, fill the air. I find a place to lurk and push the button to my heart's content.

By the time the heat begins, I've wrapped outdoor activities until my next day off. Hurry, up please, it's time.

Órale, check this out: Most computers give you a slide show when you click an image.
