The Tucson Festival of Books is a community-wide celebration of literature. Offered free-of-charge, the Festival exists to improve literacy rates among children and adults. Last month, the Festival celebrated its tenth year on the beautiful University of Arizona.
I was honored to be one of
the guest this year along with many other authors including Luis Alberto
Urrea, Zoraida Córdova,
Erika Sánchez,
Daniel José Older,
Juan Felipe Herrera, Frederick Luis Aldama, Xelena González, Celeste Ng, Bill Esparza, Vickie Vértiz, and many more. And that does not include all of the wonderful publishers, booksellers, book lovers, and volunteers who helped make this event such a success.

festivals, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books swoops down onto the USC campus
the weekend of April 21 and 22! Check out this amazing lineup. Also, I will be
on a panel titled "The Art of the Short Story" the first day at 3:00. Make your schedule using the
