The season to volunteer & vote

Friday's Bloguista Manuel Ramos is off today taking care of family matters.

From Denver's Su Teatro comes the following:

"We are doing our fall solicitation mailer this Saturday 11/20 and we could surely use some help with it. We start at 9a.m., but we do it as an open house and ask folks to show up sometime between 9 am. and 11 a.m. If we get enough people to help we can sometimes crank it out by noon.

You may not think that stuffing envelopes sounds like fun, but it is surprisingly fun, very social. We will make sure we have good food and lots of good visiting happens during this activity. It is a great way to support Su Teatro and get the satisfied feeling of being productive and seeing the concrete fruits of your labor! :)

Below are dates and times we need help with our upcoming holiday show. Please let me know if you are interested! Hope everyone is well. Please let me know how you are and what is going on, even if you can't volunteer!
Best.

From Denver artist Robert Maestas comes the following:

If you could please take time out from your busy schedules I would appreciate it if you would click on this link: View and Vote.

to view and vote for my art submission and story entitled “A Father’s Struggle”.

I entered the art piece and the story that relates to the art to Denver's Artwork Networks Online Juried Show “Art with a Story.” The piece is dedicated to my late father and was created as a personal healing process and a way of bringing public awareness to the devastating consequences of diabetes.

Voting is open thru Nov. 24th, 2010.

Thank you so much,
Robert Maestas
