Happy National Poetry Month and Spring Break and Easter

 Melinda Palacio

I'm doing some Spring cleaning and I found this postcard from Ireland. The card has a painting of a rabbit and a poem by William Butler Yeats, the first poet I was introduced to in junior high school. At the time, I had no idea that learning some poems by Yeats would have such a big influence on me. Since my Easter holiday begins today, I will leave you with this poem by W.B. Yeats.

Memory

by Willian Butler Yeats

One had a lovely face,

And two or three had charm,

But charm and face were in vain

Because the mountain grass

Cannot but keep the form

Where the mountain hare has lain
